Through its special structural design, foam pump can well adapt to foam in flotation and other mineral processing industries, so it is called foam pump, which is actually a centrifugal slurry pump.
Due to industrial process and other reasons, some suspended foam may be generated in the pulp conveying process, such as flotation in beneficiation. There will be foam in the pulp of flotation industry, so the ordinary slurry pump is not suitable for conveying this kind of pulp with foam in beneficiation.
The pump head of foam pump is of double shell structure, the overflow part is made of hard nickel, high chromium or rubber materials, and its transmission part is the same as that of EVM slurry pump. The hopper charging box is a steel plate structure, which can be covered with lining according to different conveying media. The pump outlet position can be changed every 45 degrees. The pump can effectively eliminate the foam in the slurry when it works, and can still work normally when the feed is insufficient, without any shaft seal and shaft seal water.
The foam pump is suitable for various flotation processes and is an ideal pump for conveying foam slurry. The transportation capacity far exceeds other forms of products. Foam pumps are also suitable for metallurgy, mining, coal, chemical and other industries, and are used to transport highly corrosive and corrosion-resistant slurry containing foam.
Precautions for use of foam pump:
1. First pay attention to the adjustment of the impeller. In order to ensure the efficient operation of the pump, it is necessary to timely adjust the clearance between the impeller and the guard plate.
2. During operation, add proper amount of grease.
3. If the foam pump is not used for a long time, rotate the bearing by hand for 1/4 circle every week to make the bearing bear static load and external vibration evenly.
4. Before stopping the pump, let the pump clean for a period of time as much as possible, clean the slurry flowing through the pump, and then close the inlet gate valve and outlet valve in turn.
Before the invention of foam pump, foam was usually sprayed by aerosol products, that is, liquefied gas was used to expand the spray to form foam, or post foaming agent was used to make the sprayed colloid form foam. The feature of the finger pressure foam pump is that the pump body consists of an air pump and a liquid pump. The liquid is ejected after being fully mixed with air in the pump body. The ejected volume is stable, the operation is simple, and it is not affected by the use method of consumers. The foam is of good quality.
Compared with foam aerosol products, the finger pressure foam pump has several obvious advantages: first, it does not need to add propellant, does not pollute the environment, does not have flammable and explosive risks, does not need metal containers and sealed inflation equipment, and has low cost and can be reused; Secondly, the liquid formula of the finger pressure foam pump is mostly water-based, essentially nonvolatile organic compounds (VOCs), which is worth promoting. Third, containers of various shapes can be used, including square, triangle, ellipse, etc. In addition, the container has no pressure before use, and the selection range of container materials is relatively wide.
